Yes, the Gallery is entirely wheelchair accessible. There are disabled parking bays on Merrion Square West. Wheelchairs are available on request. Changing Places facility available.

Self-Service lockers are available at the Merrion Square entrance and are available for individual use. Visitors may retain items that will not fit in lockers, including large umbrellas (bagged).
Groups can use larger drawers to store many items for the duration of their visit. The tour guide will assist you in setting this up on the day.

The National Gallery of Ireland’s collection can be a source of inspiration and learning for all. We encourage sketching from the collection in the gallery spaces. Visitors can bring their own materials (dry materials only). If drawings are intended for commercial use, please refer to our Images and Licensing department with regard to works which are in copyright, imagesandlicensing@ngi.ie.

The tour guide or facilitator will select the highlights of our collection based on the theme of your session. Tours or online sessions for all pre-primary, primary, post-primary, additional-needs pupils and their teachers from within the island of Ireland are free of charge. Some enhanced tour options to incur a cost, however these have all been suspended due to Covid 19 restrictions.
Tours for Third Level groups are free of charge.
Tours for all access groups are free of charge.
Private groups, special interest groups and tours for individuals cost €100 per group of up to 15 people including VAT.
Language School tours are €50 per tour of 15 students including VAT.
